Dr. Rhoades is a recognized semiconductor technologist in the fields of grinding, CMP, and process integration. He earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1992. He spent 2 years on a post-doctoral appointment at Oak Ridge National Laboratory followed by 3 years at Motorola as a senior process engineer leading the effort to bring CMP into device manufacturing.  In 1997, he joined a small slurry company, Solution Technology, which was later acquired by Rodel (now part of Dupont).  During five years at Rodel, he led the global process team and managed multiple applications labs in the USA and Asia.  In 2002, Dr. Rhoades joined Entrepix as CTO and helped launch a new business unit providing CMP process services for everything from R&D prototypes through volume production polishing of virtually any material.  In 2017, he joined Revasum where he led development efforts for advanced polishing and grinding equipment, particularly focused on ultrahard materials like silicon carbide.

Mr. Janzen has 30 years of experience as a chemist and chemical engineer which includes 20 years in the semiconductor industry.  His initial semiconductor focus was in lithography and thin film deposition, but he migrated to CMP in the 1990’s working for Cray Research, Inc. and Honeywell Aerospace where he was a Principal Engineer.  The CMP technologies he developed at Honeywell helped lead to the first commercial MRAM devices.    After he left the semiconductor industry, he worked at Alliant Tech Systems (ATK) as a chemist and chemical engineer in explosives R&D and production.  Following ATK, John moved to the pharmaceutical industry performing chemical engineering work at Pfizer.  John is currently a Propulsion Chemist and Engineer for Sierra Space, working on development of various thruster designs and propulsion chemistries.   John has decades of experience in the design and use of chemical blending, handling and reactor systems in applications where high reliability is essential.
